Colchester Community Theatre will hold auditions for its summer youth workshop musical, Disney’s "Dare to Dream JR.," according to a community announcement.
Auditions are scheduled for 1-3:30 p.m. June 14 and 6:30-7:30 p.m. June 15 at Congregation Ahavath Achim, 84 Lebanon Ave., Colchester. The workshop is open to children entering Grades 2-12 in the fall.
All children must audition to participate, but everyone who enrolls will be accepted, according to the announcement. Auditions are for cast placement only. Each child should bring sheet music or an instrumental recording and be prepared to sing. An accompanist will be provided.
Pre-registration is required and can be completed athttps://www.colchestercommunitytheatre.com/summer-workshop. The workshop fee is $140 per child. Additional forms required to be completed by a parent or guardian will be available at auditions. Children only need to attend one audition.
The workshop will be held from July 6-17 at Bacon Academy Auditorium. Sessions will run 9 a.m.-noon, Monday through Friday, culminating in the show at 2 p.m. July 18.

"Dare to Dream JR." is a musical revue that follows a group of trainees on their first day at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio. The story explores the power of dreams to unite, inspire and make anything possible.
The show features songs from "The Princess and the Frog," "Coco," "Encanto" and "Frozen II," marking the first time some of these songs will appear in a Disney stage musical.
It is a mix of contemporary songs, timeless classics and new medleys.
